This afternoon Engine 41 and Tanker 5 took in a vehicle fire in the first due. This was the first opportunity for new ‘Black Shield’ firefighter, Hettinger to be on the knob for a working fire. The fire was brought under control in minutes. While racking hose from the car fire back at the Station, Jack was then able to ride the Ladder Truck into District 1 for an odor of natural gas inside an apartment complex.
