While Truck 4 operated at a rowhouse fire in Wilmerding, Rescue 4 was dispatched into Turtle Creek for a reported vacant dwelling fire. Several Companies were in the process of picking up when they were alerted to another dwelling fire. Chief 283 arrived on a working fire with side D exposures. R-4 responded initially as the Rapid Intervention Team but Command changed their role to serve as additional fire attack personnel. The fire was brought under control within an hour.
