Another early start as crews were dispatched to Mosside Boulevard just after 8:00 am for the head-on MVC with one vehicle on fire. Engine 41, Medic 47, Medic 48 and Rescue 4 responded. Units arrived and found a total of 4 vehicles involved (two in the south bound lanes and two in the north bound lanes), and all occupants out of their vehicles. The Medic units began triaging the patients while E-41 extinguished the fire. Several patients refused transport and M-47 transported one trauma patient to Forbes Hospital. Crews were not even completely dry from the downpour when we were dispatched to the PA Turnpike for another wreck. This was a single-vehicle crash that hydroplaned into the Jersey barrier. That driver was also taken to Forbes Hospital for evaluation.
