At 3pm this afternoon Monroeville units were alerted to a possible dwelling fire in the 5th District. C-40 and Engine 42 arrived to find a moderate smoke condition coming from a one story, single family dwelling. E-42 found a well involved kitchen fire rapidly extending throughout the home. The fire was quickly extinguished and crews remained on scene until the Fire Marshall arrived.
