Around 8:30 this morning, as crews were getting settled in for another busy day, Monroeville Companies were alerted for the house on fire in Company 5’s first due. Engine 51 arrived with smoke showing from the eaves and an open garage door on a split entry, single family dwelling. E-51 deployed a hand line to the basement for extinguishment. Truck 4 arrived and performed first due truck duties of primary search, ground ladders, utility control, overhaul, and assisting with ventilation. Crews were on scene for approximately 90 minutes.
