Station 4 has been keeping busy over the Thanksgiving weekend as we have answered many calls. Last night Engine 41 was dispatched into Plum to assist units on scene with a major natural gas leak underground. Natural Gas has been a problem in certain Plum neighborhoods and C-236 requested additional units to meter many homes in the area. While E-41 operated in Plum, Rescue 4 was dispatched as the RIT into Wilmerding for the reported apartment fire. R-4 staged and assisted units on scene after a working kitchen fire was mostly extinguished by the sprinkler system. In all, Company 4 responded to 48 Fire and EMS calls between Thursday Morning and Sunday evening including 6 reported residential and commercial fires, a car-hauler fire on the PA Turnpike, and a vehicle crash on the Turnpike. Thank you to all the crew Members that put in some work over the Holiday!
