Company 4 was alerted just after 10:30 last night for the house fire in Plum Borough. Rescue 4 was initially dispatched as the Rapid Intervention Team but the assignment quickly changed after arriving on scene. R-4 was assigned to pull an additional hand-line off of Engine 236 and enter the basement for fire suppression efforts. The fast spreading fire was quickly controlled by crews and no injuries were sustained by fire personnel. The homeowner was evaluated and transported by EMS for non-life-threatening injuries.
