Just after 11:30 this morning Companies were dispatched to a physical rescue after a man fell from a tree while working to clear power lines. The patient landed approximately 100 yards in the woods in the edge of an 80% grade hillside receiving a lower extremity impalement from a tree branch. Crews from Medic 18, Truck 5 and Rescue 6 accessed the patient from the top side and began patient care while Rescue 4 set up operations in the event the patient would be lowered down the hillside. The patient was packaged and removed from the top-side to Medic 18 and transported to Forbes Regional Hospital as a level 1 trauma.
