Starting on Good Friday and wrapping up last evening, the Easter Weekend was busy for the ‘Big House’. Early Friday afternoon R-4 was dispatched into the Logan Ferry Heights section of Plum for a residential structure fire. A short while later a first-due commercial building fire was reported in the former Westinghouse Building – the building’s sprinkler system activated and held the fire in check. Immediately after being dispatched to this fire, R-4 was then requested to the Unity section of Plum for a reported residential fire – a grill on fire was endangering the structure. Early Easter morning R-4 responded into the West Wilmerding section of North Versailles for a fire involving two residential structures. In all, Company 4 responded to 16 fire incidents and 28 EMS incidents. We thank our Volunteers for spending their Holidays away from their families to ensure the Communities are protected.
